PRESA mentioned in development magazine

The PRESA project has been described as an, “initiative working to devise ways of measuring the value of environmental services and what communities should get for preserving them.”
The description is found in an article titled, “A fair exchange,” in Spore Magazine. Spore is an information magazine for agricultural and rural development in African, Caribbean and Pacific countries.
The article briefly explains PRESA’s activities and its relationship with communities, researchers, government, the private sector and non-governmental organizations. “In Uganda and Malawi, for example, farmers are being contracted to plant trees for the carbon sequestration benefit that they provide,” reads part of the article.
Spore Magazine is published by the Technical Centre for Agricultural and Rural Cooperation (CTA), an ACP-EU institution working in the field of information for development.
