Three upcoming workshops:♦ Sasumua site to discuss ‘The progress of PES advocacy and policy interventions in Kenya’. PRESA is holding a stakeholders meeting for the Sasumua stakeholders to develop strategies for facilitating knowledge transfer of lessons learnt in Sasumua site to other watersheds in Kenya and the scaling up of PES through knowledge exchange. The meeting will be held on November 14, 2012 in Nairobi and will give the various PRESA stakeholders in Sasumua site a forum to follow up on payments for environmental services.
♦ The East African Forum for Payment for Ecosystem Services (EAFPES) a newly formed forum whose goal is to enhance the communication of PES in the East Afrcian and Western Indian Ocean regions; is holding a workshop for stakeholders and policy makers to discuss the ‘Current situation of the Kenya’s policies’ on November 14-15, 2012 in Mombasa.
♦ The Global Soil Forum of the Institute for Advanced Sustainability Studies (IASS) Potsdam, is organizing the First Global Soil Week “Soils for Life” which will take place in Berlin from November 18-22, 2012.
