As its name suggests, CÉRE is a training and research institution. As such, it is strongly oriented towards a multidisciplinary approach. With this mission, CÉRE researchers collaborate with various stakeholders working in the field of environment both in Guinea and in the sub-region. Besides a full range of environmental analysis, CÉRE offers a university training program. Finally, it offers ad hoc interventions, both in training and research for solving a variety of environmental problems.

Created in 1993 to meet the needs of Guinea in research and training, CÉRE has gradually emerged as a recognized center in its fields of competence. By fostering active collaboration with various stakeholders, CÉRE has become a reliable partner in Guinea as well as in the subregion.

The activities of CÉRE take various forms:

  • Consultation and expertise,
    • collaboration with researchers from other institutions,
    • training and retraining of personnel,
  • Impact studies,
  • Academic training through the Diploma of advanced studies in environmental science,
  • Organization of seminars and / or hosting conferences or seminars,
  • Environmental research at national and international levels,
  • Analytical services.

Finally, CÉRE interventions are supported by an independent training and research infrastructure with respect to its scope of intervention on the ground.

The CÉRE is located in the premises of the University of Conakry, at the ground floor of the main building. More information is available through the following link (in French): http://www.er.uqam.ca/nobel/r33524/
